The system
The machine room houses six reciprocating and screw compressors, -12 °C NH₃ pumped separators, three condensers, a receiver, a glycol balance tank, a falling film chiller and an ice water tank. The plant also runs two air chilling lines controlled per evaporator.
What we delivered
- Machine room overview: separator pressures and levels, pump and condenser status and compressor operating data on one screen.
- Compressor parameters: start and stop delays, capacity step-up and step-down delays, proportional and integral gains, discharge temperature alarms.
- Air chilling lines: per-evaporator temperature set points, defrost, pump-down and drain times, plus manual control screens.
- I/O configuration: status screens for digital and analogue signals, equipment run hours and alarm logs.
Result
Operators monitor and run the whole machine room and both air chilling lines from one interface. Parameter changes are limited to authorised users, and alarm logs speed up troubleshooting.
